1. 高中的英语作文：友谊的建立

Dear Dick,

One of my best friends, Wei Dong, has just won a scholarship to study for one year in the United States. He'll be leaving soon and I hope he can join our school together with me. We’re so close that everyone at our class knows about him very well, even the teachers. He’s outgoing and strong with lots of hobbies and interests—fun, sports, maybe some gaming.

But this is the first time for him to live abroad; I think he’ll need a long time to get used to new people, places, and cultures. I hope we can make good friends as soon as possible and become close friends. He won’t feel lonely because of my care and help. I’m sure we can share happiness and sadness when things change.
